Sekiguchi Maiko

Born in 1977. Graduated from Keio University. Joined the Bank of Japan in 2000. At the International Department, engaged in the compilation and revision of balance of payments statistics, research, system upgrades, and operations related to the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act. Participated in international conferences as a member of the revision team for IMF/OECD international standards on these statistics. While at the Bank, conducted research in the field of international statistics at the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) and the OECD.

From 2017, worked at Promontory Financial Group Japan, and from 2022, at RAF Institute, a consulting firm specializing in risk management, conducting research on international financial regulations and misconduct in financial institutions. Participated in projects such as the “FY2016 Cabinet Office Economic and Social Research Institute Commissioned Survey: Report on Overseas Case Studies on Further Utilization of the Supply and Use Framework and Expansion of Quarterly GDP Flash Estimates (based on literature review and site visits).”
